Rick Longpre, President

Rick, a licensed California attorney and real estate broker, formed Latitude, a full service commercial real estate firm in 1999. Since 1997, Rick has completed over $200 million in real estate and business opportunity transactions. Rick also has over 10 years of business management experience in businesses with up to $50 million in annual sales and 100 employees. His business experience includes operations, strategic business planning, advertising and public relations. His development experience includes entitlement processing for projects from $2 million up to a 62 acre, $125 million, mixed use project and 2, “turn-key” retail, new car dealership facilities taken from land acquisition to occupancy and an award winning mixed-use project in Santa Barbara.

Rick’s commercial real estate practice includes the sale and leasing of commercial properties throughout the Central Coast, project management and development services and supervision of all operations. Rick has also brought his law, business and real estate background together to form FlexTIC in 2006, to satisfy a need in the 1031 exchange marketplace. Rick attended U.C. Santa Barbara and received his B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and his J.D. from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Before joining Latitude in 2002, Barbara worked as a property manager for a family trust in Montecito, CA. Barbara is responsible for the property and/or asset management of 8 properties with over 40 tenants totaling over 100,000 square feet. Barbara’s background includes: GTE Mobilnet, Major Accounts Manager, responsible for sales, marketing and customer service for corporate and government accounts; Director of Sales and Marketing for the Santa Barbara Inn, responsible for group and corporate accounts. Barbara brings a unique quality to commercial property management with her extensive sales and customer service background and her ability to cultivate positive relationships with clients, tenants and fellow employees. Barbara is active in IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management), CACM (California Association of Community Managers) and is working towards a CPM (Certified Property Manager) certification. She is also a former Rotarian and volunteer facilitator for the single mom support group sponsored by Villa Majella. Barbara attended SBCC and has lived in Santa Barbara since 1981.

Vikki Taylor, affiliate broker with Latitude, Inc., is a licensed broker with a GRI designation, and joins only a handful of successful women in commercial real estate in Santa Barbara . She brings twenty five years of broad based real estate experience that encompasses all aspects of both asset management and commercial brokerage services. Prior to joining Latitude in 2006, Taylor was responsible for managing a large portfolio of commercial properties in Santa Barbara , and was also the in-house leasing broker and marketing director.

As the broker for the landlord, Taylor was responsible for bringing many new retail tenants to Santa Barbara, including Coach, MAC Cosmetics, Michael Stars, Levi’s, Design Within Reach,  and LF Stores. She also represented the landlord in leases with Starbucks, Radio Shack, UCSB, Unilever Technologies, Mentor Corporation, and Left at Albuquerque restaurant.  Her negotiating skills have resulted in the completion more than 1,300 successful lease and sale transactions.   Vikki has been recognized for her outstanding accomplishments in the Pacific Coast Business Times’ annual publication, Who’s Who in Commercial Real Estate for eleven consecutive years.  She supports the Santa Barbara community through her volunteer work at Resqcats, and Casa Serena. She attended the Richland College in Dallas, and the University of Texas, Austin.

Bonnie LaCommare, Accounting

Bonnie has been in the accounting field since 1983. While attending college at UCSB, Bonnie worked in accounting for ABC-Clio, an international publishing company headquartered in Santa Barbara. Upon graduating in 1987 with a B.A. in Law & Society, she began working full time as a bookkeeper for ABC-Clio. Between 1991-1998, Bonnie worked for the Santa Barbara County Public Guardian’s office as a Deputy Public Guardian, working as a coordinator between County Mental Health Services and the County Superior Court. In 1998, she began her own bookkeeping business. Bonnie’s business has included managing a full range of bookkeeping duties for numerous clients whose operations range from the entertainment industry, retail stores, non-profits, professional services, and government contract accounting. Bonnie has been a member of the Santa Barbara Bookkeepers’ Association, serves on the steering committee for Santa Barbara Teen Star and is active in various community service activities.
